History behind Rose Blossom The Florist

Welcome the Rose Blossom the Florist. I am Karen Andrews and I own and run Rose Blossom.

I have always had a passion for beautiful flowers and floral displays and this is what led me to enrol on my first floristry course at Harlow college in Essex.

This course covered many topics including Wedding flowers, Christmas displays and Gift arrangements.

Once I had finished my course at Harlow college I decided I wanted to research and look at wedding flowers in more detail.

This is when I enrolled at the famous Judith Blacklock flower school in London.

Here I took part in an intensive wedding flower course covering bouquets, head dresses, buttonholes, thank you bouquets and table centres.

I loved the course and working with wedding flowers so decided that I would set up my own floristry business.

As part of arranging wedding flowers I decided that taking a short course in wedding planning would help. This gave my an insight into planning a wedding and working with venues ,colour schemes and budgets.

My work has included many many weddings large and small, many of which have taken place at Stansted Manor Hotel where I worked as an events florist.

Whilst weddings take up most of my work I also love to arrange flowers for all special occasions including, birthdays and anniversaries.

I recently started working with Happy Grow Nurseries, providing them with gift bouquets for all occasions.

In the last few years Rose Blossom has grown and grown working with many couples making their wedding days that extra bit special.

I have worked in many venues across Essex and beyond.

I was very proud last year to get my membership to the Society of Floristry giving me the chance to take part in many floristry events.

Over the years I have built up a very full portfolio of work and am very proud to say that all my floristry work is personally arranged by myself.
